Those popular “miracle pills” and the unrealistic promises of late night infomercials are not going to help you reach your weight loss goals. There is no magical weight loss method. Effective weight loss requires exercise and a well balanced diet. There is no shortcut. Some people do take off excess weight by starving their bodies or purging after a binge, but this will only hurt your body, not make it healthy. To lose weight, you have to understand how food is used by your body and how calories are burned as well as stored.
Your Body Is A Finely Tuned Machine
It's truly amazing how the human body works. Food is more than a source of pleasure, it provides the body with energy to complete every day tasks, repair itself so we don’t get sick or injured, and protect us from infections. That’s where fat plays a role. Society may see fat as unattractive and ugly, but it is more than appearances to your body. Stored fat is needed cushion for your organs, bones, and muscles, and it also keeps holds in heat so you aren’t cold. It also stores fat in case you ever face starvation; it will use those fat stores as energy in case you are ever faced with a dire situation. By understanding all that, you can see how you can use the way your body uses food to your advantage. Eating the right amounts of the correct foods at the most appropriate times of day, you can prevent much of your food intake from being stored as fat.
You're Already Overweight
Since you are already overweight, you must start feeding yourself balanced nutrition to achieve weight loss. Don’t focus on being on a diet, just set routines and keep to your schedule. These new healthy habits should become your new lifestyle. If you can go on with life and forget you are on a nutrition and weight loss program, one day you will suddenly realize you have lost weight and you feel so much better.
