Simple Ways To Reduce Belly Fat
Wednesday, July 30th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedIf you are serious about wanting to reduce belly fat then you need to start taking a look at weight loss from a different view. The truth is, you cannot just lose weight in one area of the body, there is no way to spot reduce.
What makes this even more challenging is the fact that your trouble spots are usually the last to disappear when you start losing weight.
So, as you start to lose weight, be prepared to have weight coming off areas of your body you didn’t expect. For example, every time I start losing weight I see it come off my face, neck, hands and calves before anywhere else.
You need to stay realistic about this fact and don’t be too hard on yourself. Your belly fat will come off as long as you stick with your healthy diet and exercise plan.
One of the most important things you can do to help you lose weight is to build muscle. The more muscle you have, the more fat you will burn. Before you know it you will be able to reduce your belly fat enough to see that six pack.
Muscle actually burns calories as you rest. Unlike fat which does not require anything to maintain.
For example, if you were stranded without any food for a while, your body would turn on itself and eat the muscle first. The fat would be the last thing to go.
As you build more lean muscle mass your body will turn into a more effective machine to burn calories.
Another point to consider is how active you are. The more active you are, the more you can get away with eating. The same goes if you have more muscle.
There is a rumor going around that a pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat. Nothing could be further than the truth, a pound is a pound no matter how you look at it. However, a pound of muscle is more condense and smaller than a pound of fat and much more productive.
If you were to look at two women who weigh 120 pounds but have different ratios of fat to muscle, the one with more fat will look bigger. That’s pretty obvious.
So don’t just worry about the scale, consider your fat percentage. This will help you get a better understanding of how in shape you actually are. The numbers on the scale can be misleading.
As you work to reduce belly fat, think about all the components that come into play.
