Losing your baby weight, adapting to baby's schedule and handling hormone surges may not make us feel rewarded initially but it will happen. Do not diet! You may think this is odd, since you want to lose weight. The fact is that when you are caring for a newborn you should not limit yourself with restrictive diets. It could even prevent you from losing weight if you limit foods in your diet that your body needs right now. Additionally, when you have a new baby to worry about, do you really want to be obsessively studying the nutritional content of every meal?

The last thing you should be worrying about is limiting your foods or cutting out foods you normally enjoy. You can lose weight without such deprivation!

Losing weight after pregnancy is a little bit complicated. Ordinarily, losing weight is a rather basic formula. You cut back on calories and get plenty of exercise. After pregnancy, however, your body has different needs than it did before you got pregnant. There are now new factors to consider. Your situation is completely different now, as you have to consider your baby's well being along with yours.
